The greatest fear of the enemy of your heart

If you have heard me speak, then you have heard this, but perhaps you too need a little reminder today.

The enemy of your heart greatly fears a woman that knows who she is in Christ.  And the easiest way to keep her out of her destiny, is simply to play with her head, and know this.......he is the master deceiver and the father of lies. (That is truth...John 8:44.)

So what makes me come to this conclusion aside from the fact that women everywhere are plagued with very similar words......You are not enough! Even the least expected woman struggles. It's epidemic.

Biblically, I find this truth in words you most probably know well....what is the greatest commandment? According to Deuteronomy 6 the Lord says...

Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, all of your soul and all of your strength.
— Deuteronomy 6:5

Interestingly, when Jesus is asked what is the greatest commandment He adds an element.....

Love me with your MIND!

I have to believe that somewhere along the way the enemy realized the easiest way to keep you from knowing and believing who you are in Christ is to mess with your head. And he has done a fantastic job so far. But when we know the TRUTH that he doesn't have that power, we can turn him off. This is why it is so important to renew our MIND.  And sweet friend, you are not alone!

Just from a question I posed on Facebook Sunday seeking to uncover what is the root of FEAR, I found this.....

Fear of what others think. Fear of failing or making wrong decisions. Fear of repeating the past. Fear of not being all that He has called me to be. Fear of rejection. Fear of handing over control and trusting His plan. Fear of failing as a parent.

And then from emails....

Fear of abandonment and fear of betrayal. Fear of not being enough. Fear of never finding my purpose. Fear of trusting God with my future. Fear of moving on. Fear of what is behind. Fear of never escaping my past. Fear of disappointing Him and others. Fear of getting uncomfortable.

Some of these fears have different roots, some stem from lack of trust, some from not fully believing who God is and who you are in Him, some from bad theology passed down by well intentioned people and many by the voice of the enemy seeking to halt your destiny.

As for the voice of the enemy, I want you to know this. God does not come with are not enough would never be what a good loving Father would speak to His beloved. And you have the power to renew your mind and turn off the voice that keeps you enslaved to this kind of FEAR.

The meaning of repent in Greek and Hebrew is "return to grace" and "change the way you think."  So I encourage you to REPENT.....change the way you think and return to grace.

Speak into your life what you know to be truth. Speak it until you start to believe it, and then declare it until you know it.

A woman who knows who she is in Christ leaves that impression!
