21 Day Dare: Day 17- Dare to Enter the Inner Chambers

Enter His gates with thanksgiving and unto His courts with Praise. Give thanks to Him and bless His name.
— Psalm 100:4

If you were with us in Joplin, Missouri, I spoke to the power of praise to usher us deeper into His Presence. This is so vital in seeking to experience the presence of God that I wanted to revisit it today. When we can come to a place where we don't petition Him for anything, but simply enjoy His presence change happens.  He redeems the time you spend with Him, no doubt.

I also find that when I keep myself in a posture of praise that His presence goes with me.

He inhabits the praises of His people. Psalm 22:3

Could we rest all of our petitions at His altar and just praise Him today, and what about tomorrow too? Could we trust that He knows our needs and our desires and release them all to Him and just bask in knowing that we are His and He is good?

Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who did Believe in His name, He gave the right to become the children of God.
— John 1:12

We aren't separated from Him. We aren't slaves or distant relatives, but children. Have we stopped to ponder what this means for us? We are His children. Isn't this alone worth praising Him knowing that we are the Chosen Ones?

Today we aren't simply breaking negative confessions, but we are professing our praise like a heavenly aroma. I love the story of Esther, so I have read a good bit of the background to her story. The Bible says that she spent 12 months getting "beauty" treatments.  To get more detailed, she spent 6 months being soaked in Myrrh and other fragrances and detoxifying agents to purify her and cleanse her so that she was worthy of the presence of the king. The second 6 months she underwent treatments that would essentially make her smell heavenly. One of the fragrances was frankincense. What I find so interesting about frankincense is that it only releases it's fragrance in fire.

Could it be that when we can praise Him despite our circumstances and to some it may seem like fire that we too are like frankincense sending forth a sweet aroma to heaven? I think so.

I hope you will take a moment and close your eyes and just take in Israel as He speaks perfectly into seeking the Presence of God. (He even uses our verse..In the Presence, there is fullness of joy.) As you listen, start sending up your praise. He is worthy!

Today, may you become more aware of His Presence as you use PRAISE to take you into the inner chambers. I encourage you to read the story of Esther, because there is so much more to her story than a peasant girl becoming the queen. Perhaps, it reveals the secrets to our own destiny as daughters of the King?

In His Grip,
