Becoming Whole: For Such A Time As This

It's been awhile....and oh how I have missed you all!

I come to you today with a heart full of anticipation.  I believe the Father has been birthing something in me since I went to Israel in May, and I have been waiting for the release to share what He has written on my heart.

Having been to Israel, I have a new appreciation for Jewish culture and people. I saw very quickly while in Jerusalem that their faith and family were the core of their lives and coming from a culture that seems to have lost both I began to envy what they had.  At the same time, I wept for the truth of Jesus that they were missing, and I began to dream about these two worlds colliding. What happens if we could embrace the heart of a Jewish woman who is so driven by faith and family with the revelation that we are now the living Holy Place that God offers the world?

Perhaps only through this collision do we find the answer to Romans 8:19...For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

For days in Jerusalem, I was drawn back to the Western Wall. As I stood behind these women who with tears cried out to God, I understood what Jesus meant when He said...I am the way! To these women, the Muslims control their "way" to God. The Temple Mount was once their Holy Place that gave them access to God. Once a year, Jewish people would come to this place with an offering to be presented before the presence of God.  The high priest, representing God's people, would enter into the Holy of Holies where the shekinah glory of God rested. The priest alone would experience this presence.  This place once set apart for God's dwelling now echos chants of Muslim prayers. It grips your heart to tears as you draw near a wall that now keeps His people out of His holy place, and you understand in the depths of your soul why it is now known as the Wailing Wall. It is a holy place not doubt, and many come every day all hours of the day and night to this wall crying out to God for something we have.... yet live as if we don't. For those of us who follow Jesus, we believe that when He offered His parting word, Tetelesti {it is finished},  the veil over the Holy of Holies was torn in two signifying that we no longer need a high priest to access God. Even better, He would choose us to be His holy dwelling place. A new revelation of this truth takes root as I kneel with tears before this wall asking....

Can these two worlds collide?  and I realize... they must!!!!

I am led to the words of Mordecai to his beloved Esther...

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14

I believe God is looking for modern day Esthers to rise up and stand for our nation and His name. I am certain these words for such a time as this stir in your spirit. The divine dna in us longs to live out a greater destiny. And why not you? God historically chose the least expected. A young orphaned girl named Esther saves her people. A shepherd boy slays the giant. A barren widow is redeemed by a child that is in the lineage to Jesus.

He isn't looking for the qualified but rather the passionate. I believe He is looking for women to entrust an outpouring of His love that will be apart of the next great awakening. Women that will become vessels that can contain and release this revelation of love that it would take to heal our land. He promises that He is love and love never fails, and this love is our HOPE! As I have pressed in asking for direction, I am led to the life of Esther and I hear Him saying, "Rochelle, it's soaking season!"  I have found that the protocol that Esther followed was not simply culturally significant but it was also spiritually significant.  For six months, she would soak in Myrrh, a purifying agent. As I have studied Myrrh, I found that in addition to purification, it also symbolized repentance and sanctification. These three words are key as I meditate on this season before us.

I believe God is calling us like Esther to a 6 month season of soaking. We need a purifying season to soak off the Western culture that is not aligned to Jesus. We need a season to surrender to a healing process so that we come to Him wholehearted and of sound mind, and then our prayers are answered. We need a season to remove the wounds of our identity because like Esther an orphan spirit can't step into the position of royalty we are called to.  We need a season of deep repentance to clean the family line that has kept us labeled unworthy or allowed the enemy access to our family hindering the destiny of people and cities. We need a season of sanctification so that we are set apart and filled with a different spirit. We can't change a culture we look like, and for me it took a trip to Israel to see even at my best attempt to follow Jesus the American Gospel is still too much driving my life. For such a time as this....we detox! If we want to live like we are the carriers of the Holy of Holies then we have to live from a cleansed vessel, a renewed mind, and an overflowing well of His Spirit.

I will be guiding you on a six month detox starting September 11th. It is written that when you seek with your whole heart, He will be found and He will bring you back from captivity. Jeremiah 29:13. When you desire freedom in your innermost being, you will do what it takes to break free. The first step appears to be coming to Him with a whole heart!

The details of our six months Becoming Whole Detox will be coming in the next few days, so for now just ask the Father...are you calling me to this season of soaking? And if you hear yes....

Here I am Father! Cleanse me, renew me and fill me! If you are going to unleash your love into the hearts of your people in away that awakens our nation, let it be through me!

I believe C.S. Lewis said quiet nicely the vision God has given me for the next six months...

“Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.”
