Decreeing that you are ROOTED in LOVE!

Through this Soaking Season, we have sought to embrace times of REST. Our society would say that rest is lazy. Our lives would say that we don't have time to rest, but His Word says REST! God created man and He rested. So the life of man began with REST, and from rest every other obligation would flow. However, in our culture, we run until we are exhausted and we are forced to REST! I have surely lived this pattern and I imagine you can say the same. It's so familiar that it seems normal, but like other things we are seeking to free our lives from, we must also seek to free them from the race of life that steals our REST!

So if you are just joining us, we are honoring the Sabbath from sun down on Fridays to sun down on Saturdays. How you spend this time is up to you, but in the Word God ordained this time for rest, so we seek to honor that. For me, I seek to shut down social media and have more family time and spend more time with The Lord. In Jewish culture, they would have a meal together on Friday and cease all activities labeled as work until Saturday at sun down. This would also be their "church" day. For them, Sunday is the first day of the week and they call it first day rather than Sunday because our days of the week {Monday, Tuesday...} all have pagan roots. Oh the things I learned while in Israel! 

Since we are seeking to move to being rooted in the love of God, today we will begin declaring this over our lives. You can make this into your own declaration! {Ex: I thank you Father that out of your glorious riches you have strengthened me with power through Your Holy Spirit…}

So meditate on Ephesians 3. Get a visual of what is happening in this scripture. What is God showing you being rooted in His love looks like? Now make a declaration from these words. 

Ephesians 3: 14-21


For this reason I kneel before the Father,  from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name.  I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,  may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,  and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.


 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,  to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.


We are being rooted in His love day by day. And when you are rooted in love your fruit looks like LOVE!
