Dangerously Deceived Part Three : If you think your preferences trump the Kingdom, you are dangerously deceived

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.  Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.  There is one body and one Spirit.....     Ephesians 4:1-4

Paul urges believers here in Ephesians to live a life worthy of the calling they have received. This is the heart of this week that we would awaken to the calling on our lives. With this calling, he did not say it would be a good idea if your were humble and gently and promoted unity. What he said was BE.....BE COMPLETELY Humble, not a little humble, and make EVERY EFFORT to keep unity. This means we don't tolerate unity, but we are INTENTIONAL to bring people together.

I would say division is one of the greatest tragedies of the modern day church. We have turned our faith into a Burger King, because there are so many denominational branches of the church now you can certainly find one that lets you 'have it your way.' And as a culture, we expect it to be the way we want it. We live in an 'all about me' society, and the esteeming of oneself is becoming epidemic in children who are consumed with "selfies." What may seem 'cute' or 'fun' psychologists are saying is breeding a generation of narcissist which come against the very nature of Jesus and the Word of God. We are called to be selfless. We are called to worship one God, not our own image. This thought pattern is toxic, and we are dangerously deceived if we think it is innocent.

We are also dangerously deceived if we think denominational division is innocent. It is the strategy of the enemy to divide, and isn't it interesting that his name {demon} is even among the words. We have to wake up to see his schemes. He comes to steal unity and destroy the power of the body as one. As people of God, we must be wiser than the serpent! Our church has been criticized openly and even from platforms in local churches, because we started a 'nondenominational' church in area where few are found. We have come to learn that most churches like ours have at some point been criticized the same. We have been plagued with questions: 'Do you have doctrine?' or 'Do you have beliefs?' or 'Why would you start a church in a town that has so many already?'  The TRUTH of why our church and others like us  are rising is not because we needed yet another option, or we are rebelling against doctrine, or because someone got angry, or because we can't come under authority, but simply because we see the power in UNITY and because God called us to do it. In a little town in Mississippi, our church will baptize 35 plus people this Saturday, and I will attribute this to the power of God resting on our house, because where there is UNITY there is power. Where people of all walks of life, denominations, and races come together as one seeking God, there is power. Just like in the days of the disciples, we are living in an upper room experience where the presence of God is tangible. You can feel Him! You can hear Him! And the anointing of His presence destroys yokes, so people that have lived in bondage most of their lives are getting set free in Jesus name! Thus we are baptizing in abundance.

As I have traveled speaking, a large number of women have confessed that their churches are on 'life support' barely getting by, and they are truly desiring a way to revive them. My suggestions would be to care more about the Kingdom than your tradition, be open to change to reach people, be more concerned about what God is leading you to than your givers are suggesting, bathe your house in prayer, and make every effort to unify.

We must wake up to truth that the enemy has a strategy to divide the source of power, so he causes offense that causes church splits. He causes fear and competition so churches are more concerned about losing members if they come together instead of making every effort to unify as urged by Paul. I take God at His word when He says, "Seek the Kingdom first and everything will be added," so if you will be a 'kingdom house,' God will bring the everything.

As believers, I urge you to allow your preferences to take a low seat to the Kingdom advancement. Our political beliefs can never trump the Kingdom. Our heart issues that cause us to be divided racially must be dealt with. You can claim to be a follower of Jesus and have hate in your heart. {1 John 4:20}

It is time we wake the church of this nation up, and start living like you believe the truth you quote, "Life and death are in the power of your tongue." What are you speaking or believing that divides? There is a spirit of Jezebel raising in the church today, I believe this is because the Elijah spirit is raising up, and the enemy knows that Elijah comes with fire. This spirit of Jezebel causes division and seeks to destroy moves of God, and we are deceived if we do not look at the spiritual battle that has always come against God's people and not believe it still exist today.

If you wrestle with a critical spirit, or you complain, or have caused division, repent for partnering with this spirit. If you recognize this spirit among you friends or those in your "church", intercede and don't allow this spirit to cause confusion and division in your body. If you are a leader that tolerates this spirit rather than deals with it, history says God can take you mantle and put it on another.

Are you roaring yet? Are you waking up? I want you to know that He shows me areas almost everyday where I have been deceived by the enemy...even this week using the word Easter. Easter like ALL of our culture 'holiday words' has pagan roots. Easter was the goddess of spring. Ughhhh!

Remember we have one enemy, and we are seeking together to expose him so that we may take our rightful place as the church.

Becoming Fully Awake and Dangerous to the Kingdom of Darkness,
