Day Four: 21 Days to Your Eternal Husband

Day one (7).png

Dear His Beloved,

Today your mission is to hear Him speak through His Word. It is interesting that David, a man so fiercely after God's heart, struggled as He did with becoming a clean vessel. This says to me that God looks less at your past and performance and more at your heart motive. Though the struggle was real for David, his desire was to be a pure vessel and that honored the Father!

Psalm 51: 1-12 (NIV)

Though the Have mercy on me, O God,

    according to your unfailing love;

according to your great compassion

    blot out my transgressions.

2 Wash away all my iniquity

    and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I know my transgressions,

    and my sin is always before me.

4 Against you, you only, have I sinned

    and done what is evil in your sight;

so you are right in your verdict

    and justified when you judge.

5 Surely I was sinful at birth,

    sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;

    you taught me wisdom in that secret place.

7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;

    wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

8 Let me hear joy and gladness;

    let the bones you have crushed rejoice.

9 Hide your face from my sins

    and blot out all my iniquity.

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,

    and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

11 Do not cast me from your presence

    or take your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation

    and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Read this Psalm two more times, but this time ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you through His Word. Begin to notice which line or two seems to really pop off the page and rest in your soul! {Even better you can go to YouVersion and listen to the Psalm and you focus on what He is speaking!}

Now take those few verses that were speaking to you and speak them aloud 2 or 3 times. Ask the Holy Spirit why He revealed these words to you? What do they mean to YOU? What does He want you to learn about Him through the words that he has stirred in you?

This is a spiritual practice to begin communicating with God through scripture. His word is alive and active and it will speak to us daily like fresh manna- if we are willing to come to the table and partake!

The Passion Translation version of Matthew 5: 8:

What bliss you experience when your heart is pure! For then your eyes will open to see more and more of God!

The purity of our heart effects our sight! God give us pure hearts that we might see you!!!! Make sure you record what you hear in your journal today, and end your day with some praise!!!

In His Bliss,
