A Psalm to write on your heart!
Good morning sweet friends, I received a few messages yesterday that you enjoyed just marinating over Psalm 143, so I thought I would share a piece of another that I so love, Psalm 34:1-9. When I read these words of David, I just can't help but be stirred with awe of the the love and confidence and the heart of this man. There are a few things consistent....he is always praising, he knows trouble, but he knows the protection and favor of a good God! As we read these Psalms, we too should see the power of praise, the power of trust, and walk in confidence of His goodness. I believe that so much transformation would take place, if we could simply rewire our minds to the knowing that HE IS GOOD!
I have a crazy love for the word of God, and have embedded so much of it that I speak it in conversation often without realizing what I am doing. I can't always tell you the source of each verse, but the words flow when prompted....those who look to Him are radiant, taste and see His goodness, those who fear Him lack nothing. This morning when I found myself in Psalm 34, I realized that five verses (in bold) that I am constantly speaking come from this one Psalm. One Psalm so full of His goodness;) May you enjoy partaking this day in another song of David......
I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. 2 I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. 3 Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. 5 Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. 6 This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. 7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.
8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. 9 Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing.
Father, May today we look to you and be radiant. May we feel the presence of your angel encamped around us en-robing us in your love . May we taste and see your goodness as we encounter you in simple ways and in people and sacred places. May we trust that when we love you and live from that love that we lack nothing. No matter what comes before us this day, we know that You have this. May our praise never cease and our lips speak only words that lift up ourselves and others.
In Your Precious Name, Jesus Amen
