Are you doing your part?
Good Morning Sweet Friends, I hope you are still believing this morning for something God sized in your life. And oh how I am praying He shows up in a way you never expected! No eye has seen nor mind conceived kind of way....something exceedingly and abundantly more than you ever expected or imagined. A wow God moment!
While many of you are believing for provision and resolution and something physically tangible, I know for some having TRUST restored would be God sized, right? Or to finally speak out boldly would be God sized? Or to say "I Release" and mean it would be God sized? Some of the greatest blessings in our lives come from Him changing what is inside rather than out...Amen? I can certainly testify to that, and I am so grateful that I am not the woman I use to be, and physically speaking I have far less than I once did. However, spiritually I am overflowing yet always thirsty for more....thank you Jesus!
I was reading in John today, and found myself at Chapter 15, and if you have heard me speak, you have probably heard me share my heart passion for this story of the vine and the branch. This parable teaches us that our lives were meant to bear fruit, that sometimes we need to be pruned to bear fruit, and that apart from God we can do nothing. A great verse to marinate in for those of you seeking a little spiritual budding:)
So with this idea of believing God on my heart and encountering this chapter in John, I settled on these words.....
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given you. This is my Father's glory that you bear much fruit.
I have spoken before of how we so often cling to verses out of context....give me peace that transcends all understanding yet we skip over the give thanks part that births that depth of peace. And today this verse hit me the same...we ask Him to give, but are we willing to do our part...abide in Me and let my words abide in you? Perhaps it is in our true abidance in Him that we can even handle appropriately the gift or the desire or the need that He longs to give us? Or perhaps in abiding in Him those desires change to be more like His? Or perhaps His truth abiding in us frees us from what the flesh says we need, and invades the marrow so that our needs align with His Spirit within?
Whatever the reason, and perhaps all of them apply, we can trust that He knows and He is good. And in our effort to see Him show up and out in our lives this very week, so that our fruit brings glory to His Kingdom let us seek His face and His word like it is the air that we breath. It is not a luxury but a necessity.....can't live without it! More! More!
Give us thirst for you Father that can not be satisfied by things of this world, so that we have no choice but to turn to you and there we find the filling on You can give......and that alone is WOW! Let us taste and see your goodness as we believe for You to reveal yourself in our lives like never before!
Seek. Love. Follow.
In His Wings,
