Learning to LOVE

Good Morning Sweet Friends,

I suppose you can you tell that LOVE is my theme lately?

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-9

You may pass over these word quickly, because you know them by heart. Love is patient.... But today will you stop and marinate on them. God not only called us to LOVE, but He told us exactly what LOVE is, and the problem is that if we are honest, we are missing it more often than not. You see, we too often compare our Christian walks with others claiming.... well we could be worse or at least we are better than Suzy...no offense Suzy:) But the truth is that WE are accountable individually that when we know the Truth, we must live it. Those who hear it and do what it says are blessed.  (Luke 11:28) He says, Love me with all of you.....your heart, your soul, your mind and your strength.

And this is what love is.........

So my question to you today is are YOU living your calling to LOVE?  If we can be "real," we can admit that most of us need to get into recovery over keeping records of wrongs, right? Could we go an entire week without thumbing through our mental index of those that have wronged us? What is it with women that we must walk around carrying our wounds like an accessory, while men shrug them off and keep on walking.  It truly must be freeing to not cling to and carry the unnecessary baggage. Doesn't it weigh you down? And honestly, do we really want others to carry all of our offenses around with them? Heavens NO!  Release the wrong and trust in His Love for us and through us!

I encourage you to read and reread these words the next few days and seek the truth.... Where am I missing this in my life? Patience? Pride? Have I lost hope? Have I given up? Have I failed to trust? Have I missed the power of LOVE in my life?

And then adjust. Recognizing is the first step, but being intentional about showing love especially where it is most difficult is what changes us.

And the greatest blessing is this...

As we love others, His love is made complete in us! 1 John 4:12

And nothing compares to His love. This I do know and this is why I do what I do.....

Though I have only tasted it, nothing compares!

Blessings,

Ro
