The Battle Over Who You Are

pinmorethanenoughHello Sweet Friends, As I have traveled the past several weeks, I have felt compelled to share with women a truth.  A message that can not be contained, and though it seems so simple, it must be desperately needed, because as I share it my heart throbs as if breaking free from my chest. Speak the truth! Free the captives!

The truth is that the enemy of our hearts is winning the battle of our minds. He is taking us captive by simply convincing us who we are not!  And this lie paralyzes us from ever stepping into the full life. The good life. The promised land dwelling. And ultimately we have no effect on moving others to freedom, of course, because we ourselves are in chains. And it creeps in ever so subtle.......

You are too old. Your time has passed. You have nothing to offer. He will fail you. Why would He permit this pain, if He were really good? He will cheat again. You can't trust him or Him or anyone. You aren't pretty enough to know real love. You have gone to far to truly be forgiven. Your tiara is too tarnished.

Or even more frightening, you are in bondage to religion and you bind up more people than you free claiming it is truth, and he CHEERS you on, all the while knowing you are working for the wrong team.

So how did I come to this conclusion?

In Deuteronomy 6, Moses tells them to love the Lord their God with all of their heart, soul and strength.

However, in the New Testament when Jesus was asked the greatest commandment, He replies,

I have to believe that somewhere along the way the enemy realized that just playing with her head would keep her from ever stepping into her destiny.

I have sought these past few weeks speaking to rewire women with truth...

And as I drove home from Tuscaloosa, Alabama warfare came like a hurricane. I could say I felt "pounded" by the enemy in a way I have never before felt. Purely demonic! It should be no surprise that he would come fierce after all of the freedom that I have seen the past few weeks.

I was up all night Saturday. I couldn't sleep! He was pouncing! And it got personal! And I learned two things.....

When we are physically or spiritually weak, we become easy prey! I was exhausted from traveling and from spiritually pouring myself out, so it was the perfect time for him to pounce.

WISDOM: When you know you are tired physically or spiritually......REST! Avoid deep conversation or big decisions and call in your prayer warriors for covering!  There is power in rest!

WISDOM: The enemy doesn't have as much power as he thinks, so Turn him OFF!!!!!

This is where God says, TAKE YOUR THOUGHTS CAPTIVE!

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5

You can know this sweet friends, for there is no condemnation for those in Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:1)

Don't take satan's bait! When words come that bring condemnation in any form, you must know they are not of God! Don't allow satan to take your relationships, steal your confidence, rob your joy, or keep you dwelling in a pit.

It is for freedom that Christ has set you FREE! This means that you are FREE from taking the pouncing!

I thank him for the pouncing Saturday, because I can sing victory today knowing that I must have been used to free up some captives this weekend. I sing victory today, because once we recognized what was happening, we took authority and I learned just how much authority we have. I can TURN HIM OFF and I did! You can TURN HIM OFF too! And victory feels good this morning! Sometimes an enemy is a necessity to move us on a stronger foundation knowing who we are in CHRIST, and the power that brings.

Sweet friends, you can allow him to play with your head or you can say, "No LONGER!". Game on! We already know who wins!:)

Be blessed today mighty warriors!!!
