Day Eight: 21 Days To Your Eternal Husband

Jesus replied, "All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them. John 14:23

Dear His Beloved,

There are certain things that I believe move the hand of God.

The Word of God declared moves the hand of God.

Praise moves the hand of God.

Desperate cries of surrender move the hand of God.

Intercession moves the hand of God.

Repentance moves the hand of God.

And today we look at the Word that causes our tummies to turn...OBEDIENCE Yes, sweet friends obedience moves the hand of God, but perhaps not quite the way you would imagine.

It is easy to align your life to a set of commandments and vow to obey them. I will not covet or murder or steal or have false gods, right?  However, we can get so attached to this list that we can assume that by "not doing" certain things that we are in the will of God. We have missed it completely if we think following Jesus is about "not doing" certain things.

In our best attempt to walk in obedience according to "the list," we can still miss the presence of God.

As a recovering people pleasing perfectionist who met Jesus when her life fell apart, I can honestly say that I would rather not have anything together and have the presence of God every day.

So in obedience I am not referring to a list of laws but rather a voice prompting you to....

Go. Speak. Give. Bless. Shelter. Feed. Hold. Love.

In my life, I have seen the hand of God move when I have stepped out in obedience, especially when my livelihood depended on Him moving. Those moments that took every ounce of faith and courage I could muster up to step into were the very moments that I saw Him clearly and felt Him most intimately.

Those that love me will do what I say........And we will come and make home with them......John 14:23.

We have been so wired to enthrone God so far away from us that it is hard to comprehend the loving Father desiring to make His home with us. I think of the lyrics from  "You're Good Father" and I wonder how many of us know these lyrics as our reality?

You're a good good Father.
It's who You are.
It's who You are, and I'm loved by You.
It's who I am. It's who I am.

His desire is to make home with us. His desire is for us to hear His voice and feel His presence and know that we are loved deeply.

I never found any of these truths following a "list," but I have always found them obeying the whisper.

I remember the cringe in my tummy when we signed a lease agreement on a 9000 sq ft building in May 2015 that I knew we could only pay for with His Provision. We would be desperate for Him to show up! I knew we heard the whisper. The doors were opened. The dreams were rising up, but my flesh was thinking this is not responsible! Yet, we were obedient and two years later we signed the loan on the entire building of 26,000 sq ft that we now call THE WELL!

If God is calling you to it, and the doors have opened to say "It's Time!" then He will provide!

Today, I encourage you to spend some time listening to the WHISPER.

What is He calling you to in this season that perhaps you haven't stepped into?

Is it to WAIT? Is it to MOVE? Is it to SELL? Is it to go to school? Is it to finish something you started? Is it to take that leap of faith with your business idea? Is is to start a ministry or a school? Is it to give, to feed, to love? To Forgive?

Sweet friends, we don't need a "don't do list," when He has our heart. For the love of Christ compels us to live for Him{2 Corinthians 5:14}..... Once we have His heart, we live on mission!

So what has He called you to......

Love Your Life,
